Week 34 "Coinweek"

This week we had a group of friends from Norway and Denmark who besides the passion for salmon fishing have another mutual passion and thats collection coins therefore the name of the week “coinwek”

The group had a hard week with the river almost in a kind of “lock down” with almost no fish showing or willing to take their flies, despite their big effort they only managed to land one big salmon and 3 grilse the entire week, to be fair to group they hooked and lost a few big ones during the week, but unfortunately we didn't have the luck to land them, that’s why it is called fishing…

Salmon fishing is a “waiting game”

The biggest fish of the week was caught by long time friend of the lodge Kurt Buck from Bergen, we are already looking forward to see this group in the lodge again next year. We all hope that the fishing in the river will pick up again in the weeks to come and it is going to be interesting to see what the river have in store for us and our guests the rest of the season.
