Week 28 - 3 personal best
This week we welcome back Zenul and Dima and 4 new friends to Olderø. This week we had good fishing weather, with clouds, raining and lower temperatures.
After watching Italy winning the european championship sunday evening, the guests was ready monday morning to fish our waters. We started out with a blast. Hans-Olov Blom went to Holmen with his fishing buddy Magnus and he took only 20 cast before hooking into his personal best silver fish, that took a small monkey and gave up a strong fight, before getting landed into the net. 113 cm long and 15,3 kg big fish was released beautiful in to its right element again, and what a way to start of the week. The day was not over, as we got 2 personal best in the evening session.
Our guide Morten went to Ratama with Alexander from Germany and in the first round he had a big boil behind the fly and on the second round the fish took a fast stripped red francis. 11 kg fish and Alexanders personal best. Meanwhile on Holmen Zenul watched his fishing buddy Dima hooking in to a big fish and unfortunately loosing the battle to another big fish. But then he went out and hooked into in to a nice 80 cm fish, that also was his biggest fish.
The rest of the week the river did not deliver as we wanted. All the anglers managed to either loosing bigger fish or catching grilse.
Weather vice it looks good for next week, and with the highest tides we hope that more fish will enter in to river.
