Week 30 : Very good fishing

Week 30 started out with the water clearing up and 3 big fish within the first day, so the moral was very high for the whole week. This week we welcome back long time friends Wolfgang, Meta and their grandson Luke, Thomas and our new friends from Finland.

Janne was on fire from the first minute and on Holmen he lost 2 fish and after changing the fly and good advise from our guide Maurizio Janne hooked into a big fish and after a long fight he landed a 12 kg fish and only 99 cm long. After a good lunch made by our fantastic chef Sacha, Janne went to 6 to 6 and in the first run through the pool, he hooked into another great fish, which measured 95 cm, and 11 kg.

Tuomas also started high, first loosing a very good fish in home pool, and landing a beautiful fish on 6 to 6 on his be loving sunray. The fish took him far down at 6 to 6, but in the end he managed to land a 95 cm fresh fish.

After this fantastic start, the fishing continued to be good, but unfortunately both Wolfgang, Meta and Thomas lost their battles with the Lakselv salmon. In between some really good fish we also ran into the first grilse run and we landed a handful of these small but powerful fish. Our youngest guest Luke managed to place his fly in front of a willing bigger fish and landed a beautiful 9 kg female after a really good fight.
At the end of the week Tuomas got a very nice 11, 2 kg salmon with sea lice on Holmen. This fish was one of his biggest fish ever in his salmon fishing career.

This week we had stable water level around 30m3 and it still looks promesing the rest of the season.
