Week 31 - Fishing picks up
This week we welcome back Sebastian, father Thomas with his son Christian, with their friends and our new guests Jan
Our youngest angler of the season started out with going to Bakery and hooking and landing a nice grilse. This was just the beginning of Christians salmon dreams on the Lakselv, because the day after he went back to Bakery and hooked in to his biggest salmon on the fly. The fish took Christian and the guide through numerous pools before finally being able to land a beautiful fresh 100 cm sea liced female. This was a big pleasure for Christian and his dad.
All through the week, the grilse was taking our flies and the whole group managed to land several fresh fish in the range between 2,5 - 3,5 kg. Sadly enough, our two guide colloegues from Namsen, had to see them self be defeated by the bigger fish they hooked.
Jan saw the opportunity to visit us for the first time due to cancelation and by the middle of the week he got what he came for, 98 cm fish caught on a fast stripped Collie Dog trough our Stripping pool at Ratama and it gave up a good fight. In the same time frame Klaus, was fishing Bakery and he landed a similar fish, a 9 kg spanking fresh fish. It was to date his biggest salmon on the fly.
This week the water was stabil at 8 cubic, but we will be looking to the sky to get some rain, that would push in the next run of fish.
