Week 32 - Record low water
This week we welcome new and old guests from Denmark, Irland, Germany, Finland and UK.
The rain that where forecasted, sadly never showed up, and we witnessed the lowest water we have seen in many years, creating around 3,6 cubic. Although the water was very low, we where still hopeful due to the stabil water temperature and last years catches this week.
We started out with a nice fish monday morning to our good friend Jarkko from Finland, who landed a 97 cm fish on Bakery on a small Red Francis fished on a floating line with a sinking tip. Fish vice size this fish was the highlight of the week.
The whole group managed to land several grilse which was in the big end, ranging from 65 to 72 cm. All completely fresh, that gave a good bend in the rod to all our guests. It felt that the big fish was not on the take, and we simply could not get in touch with them.
On the last night, we finally woke up one of the monsters, that made Sebastians Loop Classic reel scream, but unluckily the fish got away. The round after Allan Curry did manage to land his biggest for the week, and fresh 78 cm salmon.
The rain is at the moment a necessity for the remain of the season and the forecast is looking like it is coming. We look forward to welcome back some familiar faces next week, and hopefully we will see some more fish in our pools.
