Week 34 - Fiskeshopen Mörrum

The owner of Fiskeshopen Mörrum in Sweden Stefan Enevoldsen, had tried for some years to get his week on Olderø. This week he came with a group with his friends and clients, with our good friend Zenul as a sidekick.

The rain was still pouring down, to start the week which ment water level staid stabil. As last week, the big fish was still active. With all this, it did not take Stefan Hissing a long time to hook into a big silver fish at 6 to 6. After a good fight, the guide could land a 100 cm fat fish. What a feeling to land such a fresh fish, this late in August. It just shows that Lakselv, can produce big fresh fish, all season long. Stefan had his heart broken with loosing 2 big fish in the same size as the one he landed earlier in the week, but managed to hook a couple of fresh grilse. Stefan´s wife Camilla quickly find a fly pattern she liked, and here Banana fly worked very well trough out the week, and she landed 3 good size silver bomb grilse.

In one of our pools we had seen a good size male showing, and finally Stefan Enevoldsen got it to take his fly. It resulted in a good fight, with a well portioned colored fish, that measured 92 cm.

Early in the week Bo, caught a nice grilse and towards the end of the week, he got a better fish at 6 to 6. A thick lady at 88 cm. It was his 11th time visiting Lakselv, but his first time at Olderø, which shows how addicted, fishing Lakselv can be.

On the last night, Zenul was still in the hunt for a good size fish, and at Holmen he finally managed to hook a beautiful 70 cm fish. Maybe one of the the most prestine fish, we have seen this season.

The last angler of the group Mats hooked a small grilse within his first 5 cast of the week, but the rest of the week was unfortunately tough for him.

What a joy to see new guests visiting at Olderø, and hopefully we will see you back in the future.

The water is starting to drop now, and the autumn is coming towards Lakselv, and next week we will welcome good friends from Denmark, Sweden and Polen.
